The Membership Drive Competition is a way to not only increase traffic on Silicon Investor, but to give you, the Members of Silicon Investor who can increase the traffic, financial rewards for doing so.

Using the link above, you can invite other people to join us and when they do, you earn points (and money) and if they become subscribers, you earn even more points and money. You can also email your friends message and subject links that include your MDC code by clicking on the "Email this page" link on messages or subjects.

You earn points by using your "MDC Link" to bring new members to the site. Simply copy/paste the link to anyone you want to invite to the site and we'll take care of the rest. When they show up, we'll know you referred them and you'll be credited accordingly.

A member who joins the site and posts is worth 1 point. A member who becomes a subscriber while the competition is still going is worth 5 points. Points are worth dollars on a one-to-one basis or double toward the purchase of any products we offer. Your choice.

It gets better. We're not just going to pay you to bring more members to the site. We wanted a competitive aspect to it (we know you pretty well, eh?) so we're using a multiplier for the top 10 ranked competitors from from 2.0 for 1st place to 1.1 for 10th place. Meaning that if you're the First Place winner of this competition, we will double the Subscriber part of your winnings.

For example, if you're the First Place finisher and you referred 500 people, 400 of whom remain free members (and have posted at least once) and 100 of them have become subscribers, you get 400 points for the free members, 500 points for the subscribers (remember, a subscriber is worth 5 points) and as the First Place finisher, your Subscriber Points are doubled, so your prize is $1400 cash, $2800 in products we offer, or any combination you like.

But of course, we've got some rules. Here they are:

• This competition is open to everyone who has any kind of account here. In other words, if you've got a free account, you're still good to go.
• Only accounts created from 11/07/08 to 1/15/09 count toward your score.
• If a referred member hasn't posted at least once or is suspended or terminated on 1/15/09, they are worth zero points.
• Using multiple accounts is grounds for disqualification from this competition.
• All decisions regarding this competition are made by Silicon Investor and those decisions are final.
• Investors Hub is also having an MDC at the same time and you may participate in both. However, your scores and winnings on each site are calculated separately.
